1998 - December 2016, Manager, Southern Minerals, Weyerhaeuser Company, Hot Springs, AR Manage mineral businesses on a 7.1 million acre estate (3.7 mineral and 3.4 surface) in 11 states (AL, AR, GA, LA, MS, NC, OK, SC, TN, TX and VA). Responsible for establishing/implementing hard mineral business strategy as well as financial management (P&L), technical evaluation, exploration, marketing, agreement negotiation and contract management. Responsible for advising/supporting other energy products businesses (oil/gas, wind and geothermal). Responsible for evaluating mineral potential of the estate, significant acreage acquisitions/dispositions and trades as well as assignment/negotiation of mineral reservations. Responsible for management of consultants and limited staff. Serve as liaison between Weyerhaeuser Mineral Resources and other Weyerhaeuser businesses as well as primary contact with customers, lessees, academia, industry, public entities, etc.
